Update Description |
The new User Values tab in Dataset Parameters allows you to specify values for 20 generic user variables of type Long (long integer) and 20 variables of type Double (double precision floating point).
These variables are globally available for read-only access in all Formula Tables in the dataset, as well as in the Dataset Formula Script. They can be used for testing or changing the behaviour of the Formula Tables during the run without having to edit the formula tables scripts or grid values.
The values of these variables can also be changed programmatically. This can be done temporarily (for the duration of the calculation run only) or permanently (stored to Dataset Parameters) using the special functions in the Dataset Formula script.
To report on values used in the particular run the function to retrieve the value of the specified User Value variable is provided in the Summary report. In addition, for auditing purposes, the full set of User Values is stored in the Run Information record notepad for every exported output from the system.
You can access User Values in all Formula Tables and Rules Tables
